Kulesh with Crawfish
Ingredients
- 2 lbs crawfish
- 2 lbs wheat grains
- 2 pcs carrots
- 1 pc onion
- 1 pc parsley roots
- 1 pc celery roots
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add crawfish. Cook for 20 minutes.
- Rinse wheat grains and soak them in water overnight.
- The next day, rinse the grains and cook them on low heat for 2 hours.
- Finely chop onion, carrots, parsley, and celery roots and sauté them in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- Add vegetables to the grains and cook for another 30 minutes.
- Add crawfish to the kulesh and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste.
