Ingredients

  • cups wheat flour
  • 2 cups Kefir
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 15 oz chicken breast
  • 2 pcs small onions
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a deep bowl, mix kefir with eggs and salt, then sift the flour into it. Add it gradually to avoid lumps.
  • Put the dough on a floured table and knead it, adding the necessary amount of flour. The dough should be elastic but not too tight.
  • After that, transfer the dough to a bowl and let it rest for a while.
  • Cut the onion into rings or half rings and fry until golden brown. Cut the chicken breast into small pieces and add to the onion along with the mushrooms. Salt, pepper, and fry until cooked.
  • Then you need to boil the halushki. To do this, roll the dough into thick sausages, and cut into portioned pieces. Put them in boiling salted water and cook until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and let the water drain off.
  • Put the halushki in pots, put mushrooms and meat on top, and add butter, sour cream, and a tablespoon of water to each pot
  • Preheat the oven to 390℉ (190℃) and bake the halushki for 20 minutes.
