Ingredients

  • 3 pcs hard-boiled eggs
  • 3 pcs pickles
  • 10 oz cheese
  • 4 oz Croutons
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch dill
  • Homemade mayonnaise or store-bought
  • ground pepper optional

Instructions

  • Start by boiling the eggs until they are hard-boiled. Once they are done, peel and chop them into small pieces. Cut the pickles into thin strips. Grate the cheese using a coarse grater. Finely chop the dill and mince the garlic cloves.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped eggs, pickles, grated cheese, and chopped dill. Add the breadcrumbs to the mixture.
  • Crush the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl. If you like a bit of spice, you can also add ground pepper at this stage, according to your taste. Remember that the mayonnaise will also add some flavor, so go easy on the pepper if you prefer a milder taste.
  • Start by adding a few tablespoons of mayonnaise to the mixture. You can adjust the amount based on your preference for creaminess. Be careful not to overdo it, you can always add more mayo later if needed.
  • Carefully mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined and coated with the mayonnaise. Ensure that the breadcrumbs are evenly distributed throughout the salad.
  • Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning. If it needs more saltiness, you can add a pinch of salt or more mayonnaise. If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, you can add more minced garlic.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the cheese salad for at least 30 minutes before serving. Chilling will allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Before serving, you can garnish the cheese salad with some extra dill or a sprinkle of Homemade Croutons for added texture and visual appeal.
