Tuna and Egg Pie

Ingredients
For dough:
- 1 cup sour ceam or kefir
- 1 cup mayonaise
- 3 pcs eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ packet leavening agent for dough
- pinch salt
For filling:
- 2 cans tuna
- 2 pcs eggs
- 2 pcs large onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 bunch dill
Instructions
For dough:
- Begin by mixing the all-purpose flour with the leavening agent and sifting it through a sieve for a smooth texture.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, add a pinch of salt, and incorporate the mayonnaise and sour cream (or kefir) into the mixture.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the sifted flour and mix thoroughly until a dough forms.
For filling:
- Start by transferring the canned tuna to a deep plate and mashing it with a fork to your desired consistency.
- Boil the chicken eggs until they are hard-boiled, then dice them into cubes.
- Peel and finely dice the onions, and sauté them in olive oil (or vegetable oil) until they turn golden brown.
- Wash the parsley and dill, dry them with a paper towel, and chop them finely.
- Add the diced eggs, sautéed onions, and chopped herbs to the mashed tuna, and mix everything until well combined.
Assemblihg:
- Grease a pie mold with oil to prevent sticking, and pour half of the prepared dough into the mold.
- Spread the flavorful tuna and egg filling evenly over the first layer of dough.
- Top it off with the remaining half of the dough, completely covering the filling.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) to ensure it's nice and hot when the pie goes in.
- Place the pie mold in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes or until the top of the pie turns a beautiful golden brown.
