Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb mixed seafood shrimps, scallops and mussels
  • 8 oz whole wheat spaghetti
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ¼ cup resh basil chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 pc lemon zested and juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the whole wheat spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the mixed seafood to the skillet and cook until they are opaque and cooked through.
  • Stir in the cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
  • Pour in the white wine, and if desired, add red pepper flakes for some heat. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the seafood and toss to combine, allowing the flavors to meld for a minute or two.
  • Stir in chopped basil, parsley, and lemon zest.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the pasta and toss to combine.
  • If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
