Ingredients
  

  • 1 can whole peeled tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 pcs medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent about 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another minute until the garlic is fragrant.
