Chestnut Soup

Ingredients
- 10 oz chopped chestnuts
- 1 pc onion
- 5 oz ham
- 5 oz chorizo sausage
- 7 oz elbow pasta
- 1 can red beans
- salt and olive oil
Instructions
- Soak the chestnuts overnight. The next day, remove the skins.
- Bring about 9 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan.
- When the water is boiling, add the chestnuts and the canned red beans. Let them cook together.
- Add the chopped onion, the ham cut into small pieces, and the sliced chorizo to the pot.
- Season with salt and a drizzle of olive oil to taste.
- Continue cooking until the sausages and onion are fully cooked.
- Add the elbow pasta to the pot and stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Cook the pasta until it’s done to your liking.
- Once the pasta is cooked, your chestnut soup is ready to serve. Be careful not to overcook, so the pasta doesn’t become mushy.
