Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs. cabbage
  • 2 lbs. sauerkraut not too sour
  • 3 pcs medium carrots
  • 5 pcs medium potatoes
  • 2 pcs medium onions
  • pork broth
  • 1 pc salt pork
  • 1 bunch fresh herbs parsley, dill,green onion
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the ingredients. Cut the fresh cabbage and sauerkraut into thin strips. Peel and chop the carrots, potatoes, and onions.
  • In a large pot, heat the pork broth until boiling.
  • Add the fresh cabbage, sauerkraut, carrots, potatoes, and onions to the boiling broth.
  • Let cook over medium heat until the vegetables are tender.
  • While the soup is cooking, fry the salted fat in a frying pan until crispy. Add the fried fat to the soup.
  • Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the soup hot, sprinkled with chopped fresh herbs.
